I will confirm with the boss (my GF) that I can take Sunday, and if so I will take the lead on organizing this. The only new part for me is ACH.

Important question: Is any part of ACH (Angeles Crest Hwy) closed? I heard this was the case and seems confirmed in:

where it starts it is closed we'd have to go around from angeles forest to the crest.

Thanks.
Please propose a detour (on a Google map would be great) to see if it is still worth trying to do ACH at this time.
Or should we just wait to do all of ACH later?

I think you can take big tujunga to bypass the closed route. PM Agustin for details; he did it last weekend.

Hello Jerome, this is the route we took
Thank you for sharing your detour Agustin.

Seems like I would miss about 1/3 of ACH, so I will wait a bit.
Although detours can be fun too.

Although you do miss 1/3 of the road as you mention it is worth riding the route I posted. Most people simply bypass the canyon routes that are currently used to access ACH and never get to see that there is actually a lot of beautiful scenery. I highly recommend this route if only to experience it once. I guarantee that you will like it.

I forgot to mention, check the weather forecast, as Carolina pointed out it can be cold up there. Last week it was in the high 20's past Newcomb's Ranch heading to Wrightwood. The week prior to last week it was warm enough for a leather jacket without a liner.

Looks like Agustin's right...ACH is open from Nukes to Wrightwood!
I can vouch for the route from Sunland thru Upper Big T Awesome!
and from Nukes to Wrightwood is epic!

the 39, azusa canyon road doesn't connect to wrightwood 2. it's been closed for years.

also, the wright wood side of ach is a much better road than the LA side. less bikes, less cops, better visibility.
