1 Year old ZX14 For Sale

I bought this in August of 2008 brand new from Champion Motorsports in Costa Mesa.  It is a 2007 model year but had no miles on it when I bought it.  It has an extended warranty that is transferable to the next owner, valid to 8/16/2013.

Financial woes are causing the sale.  Trust me, this is the best bike I’ve ever owned.  By the way, I’m an adult, not some 18 year old guy who did wheelies and stuff…I rode this to work (605 North to 5 North, and back home).  I also rode this to the gym, which is from Huntington Harbor to Main Street, H.B. (which is also highway miles on PCH).  The clock says 10,540 miles but the speedometer is 10% off (like almost all motorcycles) so I’m guessing the actual miles are under 10k.  By the way, it has a time clock also, which is pretty cool while you’re cruising around on your lunch or on weekends n stuff.

I have the pink slip.  I paid for it cash and I want cash for it.  I do not finance, lend, do IOU’s, or barter.  It is not a salvage title, its absolutely fine, healthy, no problems.  I have been the only owner, and I’ve always garaged it, next to our beach cruisers and other things…my truck didn’t appreciate it but Tumbaodera did.  I still love her, so please no low-ballers…I’ve priced it to sell ASAP…$6000.  I will NOT consider offers, trades, or ‘favors’.   That is the price and I’m sticking to it.  Go shop around for other, lesser bikes, and see how much more they cost if you think this is not a bargain…but either way, don’t talk to me about the price.   That’s what it is, that’s what it will be.

No performance modifications, no appearance modifications, I haven’t done anything ‘cool’ or ‘fun’ to it except ride it to work, the gym, and at times lunch/dinner with it.  I did get the M4 exhaust pipes installed by Mach 1, because I wasn’t feeling all that chrome on the factory exhaust cans.  Compare my black exhaust to the factory exhaust and I’m sure you’ll agree.

Mechanically perfect, sound, everything works perfectly.   The Annual tune up was done by Mach 1 motorsports not long ago.  I have two keys for it.  I can throw in a spare helmet if you’re interested.

The bikes name is Tumbaodera, as in "La Negra Tiene Tumbao".  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgyoqTevmvg

Always garaged, always loved.   Cry  If my financial fortune changes before the end of the year, I'll be interested in buying her back.  She's available for viewing pretty much anytime from 7am to 7pm.

More photos coming up once I wash my truck and bike.  Please feel free to ask normal questions.  Silly questions will be ignored.

Thanks

Thanks guys.  I'm embarrassed to be among ZX14 owners to be selling it...it is a great bike, and at this price (compared to other bikes selling for more or same price).  I'm very sure I'll get another one once I'm back on my feet...even if I wind up selling my truck, I'll buy another 14 before I get another truck.

98% of them aren't quite mature enough for it... let's just leave it at that.

P.S. Good luck with the sale on the 14, she's a beautiful machine.

That is a sweet looking bike even though it's stock plus exhaust! I'm always staring at the kickstand because it boggles my mind how it's holding up under all that weight [on the zx14 and the hayabusa].
Huh?

Good luck on the sale.

Good luck on the sale.

Most of the weight is burdened by the wheels (since gravity pulls the bike down toward the earth).  The Kickstand simply keeps the bike from falling over on it's side (very little weight bearing).

But yeah, I'm surprised at this price the bike has not gone yet.  Goes to show the terrible shape our economy is in.

Someone buy this thing already!

Man I wish I could snap that up!

Ive been looking at sport touring bike, ZX14 or FJR1300.  I love the ZX14 Concourse.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys.

I got 8000 miles out of the stock rear tire, which was the bt014, so that kinda tells you that I dont ride that hard.  I was reading on another board about mileage on that tire and this bike and everyone else was getting about 3-4000 miles.
That reminds me, only about 2000 miles on Pirelli Strada front and rear!  I'd say they look like about 300 miles of normal sportbike wear.  They look new to me, compared to how most of you guys burn through them.

Please spread the word folks...I'm ONLY selling this because I need the cash.

Dude, I'm shocked that no one has jumped on this yet.  If I had the credit, I would have gotten a loan to buy it by now... but unfortunately my ex-gf F&%#ed that up for me.

You're telling me...as if the need to sell it isn't bad enough, I'm hearing this too often.  Maybe we can have an OCMoto raffle or something...$65 a ticket x 100 or $100 tickets x 65.  It's really frustrating...its not like I want to sell it.  My truck is next if I don't find something in January.
